Tadao Kashio, founder of Casio

1946 : Kashio Seisakujo founded in Mitaka, Tokyo by Tadao Kashio ( Nov. 26, 1917, in Kureta-mura (now Nankoku City) (4 March 1993, Tokyo, Japon).

1954 : Prototype of all-electric compact calculator (solenoid model) completed.

1957 : Marketing for the world's first compact all-electric calculator, the "Casio 14-A" begins, and Casio Computer Co., Ltd. is established.

1960 : Tokyo factory completed in Yamato-machi, Kitatama-gun (now Higashi Yamato City), Tokyo.
Tadao Kashio becomes company President.

1967 : European office opened in Zurich, Switzerland.

1969 : Kofu Factory completed in Tamaho-mura, Nakakoma-gun, Yamanashi.

Casio Latin America, Inc. begins operations in Miami, US

2007 : Release of OCEANUS Manta slim solar-powered radio-controlled watch in full-metal case.
Establishment of the joint company CXD NEXT CO., LTD., with NTT DOCOMO.

2008 : Release of EX-F1 digital camera with world's fastest burst shooting performance.
Casio starts sample shipping of the Blanview LCD module with superior visibility both indoors and outdoors and lower power consumption.

2010 : Release of electronic dictionaries with color displays.

2013 : Establishment of the sales company, Casio Middle East FZE, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (begins operations in October 2013).
