![]() Villeroy & Boch logo used 1873 - 1883 ![]() The Name Villeroy & Boch is not a yesterdays creation of a marketing agency. It goes back to April 14 1836 when the "Manufacture de Porcelaine Pierre Joseph Boch" and "Nicolas Villeroy", both already well established ceramic companies, merged. As the new name "Villeroy & Boch" was considered to be a little complicated and long, the Initials VB or V&B came into use as well. Over the years Villeroy & Boch logos have changed many times... You find the initials "VB" or "V&B" on millions of tableware products manufactured for over 150 years ! Long before the age of the Internet previous generations of VB people like Nicolas Villeroy (1759-1843) , Pierre Joseph Boch (1782-1858), Eugen von Boch (1809-1898), Rene von Boch (1843-1908) or Luitwin von Boch (1906-1988) understood the "Spirit of Simplicity" and used the initial in the company communication. |

The above 3 logos are non official prototypes only .... Proposals from a june 2007 study for a more Internet compatible new logo using the exceptional Two Letter URL vb.com (not accepted). The domain VB.com was registered May 13 1997 by Internet Holding Group, New York. By miracle the initial owner forgot to pay the domain renewal charges in 2006 !! and vb.com was on the market in the first half of 2007. Many World Leading Business like Louis Vuitton or Deutsche Bank have tried to get hold of their Initials LV.com or DB.com ... as they knew that the "Spirit of Simplicity" is the Key to Success in the GLOBAL Business World of TOMORROW. But unfortunately the future of VB.com is not going to be Ceramics ... |
